Abolition of personal licence renewals deferred until Spring 2015

logo_homeofficeThe Home Office has confirmed that Royal Assent in respect of the Deregulation Bill will be deferred until Spring 2015, meaning that the abolition of the need to renew personal licences under the Licensing Act 2003 will not take effect until that time, but for those whose licences will expire before then the renewal formalities will be relaxed. Anyone affected and needing help or guidance should contact us.

NB THE ATTACHED NOTE HAS NOW BEEN SUPERSEDED BY A FACTSHEET PUBLISHED BY THE GOVERNMENT AT THE END OF NOVEMBER – see http://cliftondavies.com/renewal-licensing-act-2003-personal-licences/
