E-gaming regulation put under the spotlight
Categories: Articles
The cover feature article of this month’s EGR Compliance 6, entitled “A Blueprint for success”, poses this question:
“At a time when the activities of regulators the world over are coming under increasing scrutiny, would going back to the drawing board with regulation ultimately create a more successful and prosperous e-gaming market?”
The article (that can be downloaded below) features comment from David Clifton and from Warwick Bartlett of Isle of Man based GBGC – regarded by many as the two most experienced consultants in the gambling sector.
In a number of respects, the article picks up on themes explored by:
- David in his speech entitled “Are regulators micro-managing gambling operators out of the market?”, delivered by him at the Eastern European Gaming Summit in Sofia, Bulgaria on 21 November 2018, about which you can read more here, and
- Suzanne Davies and her panellists at the “Are regulators the biggest threat to the industry?” session, moderated by her at SBC Events’ Betting on Sports conference in September, about which you can read more here.
