Is the gambling industry ready to change the terms of its contract with society?

Tim Miller, Executive Director at the UK’s Gambling Commission, has delivered a speech at this year’s IAGA International Gaming Summit in New York in which he underlines why the Commission considers that viewing responsible gambling through the lens of the wider relationship between business and society brings a different perspective on why it is important for the gambling industry to take its social responsibilities seriously and to focus more on what its customers, communities and society expects of it. In his speech – that can be downloaded below – he addresses the following proposition: “Society wants to change the terms of its contract with the gambling industry. The question is ‘Are you ready’?”
