Greene King wins appeal against Gambling Commission refusal to grant a bingo operating licence

The First-Tier Tribunal has quashed the Gambling Commission’s refusal to grant pub retailer and brewer Greene King a bingo operating licence, enabling Greene King to proceed with applications for bingo premises licences for its pubs. Whether or not to grant such licences (with their accompanying greater machine entitlements) will be a matter for the licensing authorities to which such applications are made.
