CMA MoUs with the Gambling Commission & the ASA

As its ongoing investigation into online gambling practices has revealed, the Competition and Markets Authority is making its mark – and will be doing so even more markedly – on the gambling industry.

It has recently published its memoranda of understanding setting out its working arrangements with each of the Gambling Commission and the Advertising Standards Authority in relation to any specific work it may undertake in co-ordination with each of those organisations, given their respective roles and regulatory functions in connection with the enforcement of compliance with consumer protection law in the gambling sector in Great Britain.
