First details of third annual KnowNow gambling industry conference announced

For the third year running, in January 2020 David Clifton will be moderating a session at KnowNow’s third annual two-day conference for the gambling industry, the first day of which (22 January) will focus on “Social Responsibility for Gambling Operators” followed by a second day (23 January) on the subject of “Keeping Crime out of Gambling”. Both will take place at Prospero House 241 Borough High Street, London SE1 1GA.

David is featured in a KnowNow blog, published today, that announces the first details of January’s conference. He will be moderating a panel session on Day 2 of the conference entitled “AML update – what are our responsibilities when it comes to the detection and prevention of criminal activities?” You can download that blog below.

The panel session will feature the following panellists:

  • David Del Bianco, EDD Team Lead, Gamesys, Spain
  • Anton Moiseienko, Research Fellow, Royal United Services Institute
  • Neil Tyson, Director, Rightway Compliance

UPDATE:
As we have subsequently reported, David will also be conducting a “fireside chat” with Betting and Gambling Council Chairman, Brigid Simmonds, at KnowNow’s above-mentioned Social Responsibility for Gambling Operators conference  on Wednesday 22 January 2020.

This should serve to provide a fascinating insight into the BGC’s plans for 2020, at a time when – following the Conservative Party’s success at the 12 December 2019 General Election – a forthcoming review of the Gambling Act 2005 (described in that party’s election manifesto as “an analogue law in a digital age”) looks set to take place.

You can view the agenda and registration details for:

  • “Social Responsibility for Gambling Operators” here and
  • “Keeping Crime out of Gambling” here.

David looks forward to seeing both former and new delegates and speakers at January’s conferences.
