Gambling Commission launches a consultations calendar

The Gambling Commission has launched a new consultations calendar. This will be updated regularly and communicated through its bi-weekly e-bulletin and through its social media channels.

This stems from the results of a survey conducted last year by the Commission which resulted in some of those responding flagging up the fact that responding to Commission consultations is labour-intensive and that they would like to be forewarned about impending consultations.

The survey also attracted criticism that the Commission’s public consultations vary too much in terms of style, content and quality. The Commission has announced that it is now reviewing the way in which it constructs consultations with a view to ensuring that they are clearer and easier to respond to.
