In this month’s Licensing Expert article for SBC News entitled “More of the same with yet more to come” (that can be downloaded below), David Clifton summarises the changes to the Gambling Commission’s Licence Conditions and Codes of Practice (‘LCCP’) that will be coming into force on 31 October 2018. The title to David’s article stems from the Commission’s comment, in relation to the forthcoming LCCP changes, that it has welcomed “direct engagement from consumers and consumer groups and will continue to explore opportunities to strengthen the voice of consumers as part of [its] work”, adding that “these changes should be viewed as one part of a much wider programme of work in which regulators, industry and consumer groups work together to deliver a fairer and more trusted gambling market”.
